    First AT-43 campaign

We started athe campaign on staturday the 3rd,  and have the first round finished.  Im starting this post so everyone could talk about the campaign, keep in touch with events, and to report the battles.

In the First round it was

Aaron attacked  Warren. Aaron came out as the victor taking one of Warrens System.
Nephi attacked Tim B.  Nephi came out as the victor also winning a System.

    Then

Warren Attacked Nephi.  Nephi managed to protected his system.
Tim B attack Aaron. Aaron stoped Tim B from taking over the system.

We well play again on Saturday 17th at 1.  Hope to see you all there.

     Timothy

    Re: First AT-43 campaign

Next saturday I was informed that we might have 3 new players coming to play.  Just woundering if anyone have an idea of how to add them into are risk stile campaign?
I can add give them 5 systems each buy adding 15 new systems to the map?  or I can Give them 4 systems and minus 1 away from everyone one and add 5 new systems? or I have a map for 10 players made up that we can play on.

If there is any changes to the campaign rules any of you like to see please pm me or post them.

    Re: First AT-43 campaign

It looks good so far. The only change I would like would be the inclusion of some objective based missions. This game seems to be built around them and they add great flavour. There are quite reasonable number in the book and a few in the Operation Damocles material that would work ok in one off games. Maybe just one objective based mission in addition to what is there now to start. Might make things interesting.  Party!!! [<:o)]

    Re: First AT-43 campaign

I would also like to start using the objective missions in the rule book, it looks like fun and would force different strategies and army lists to be put together. It also gives Infantry a larger role as objectives can only(mostly) be captured and controlled by them.
Hrothgar's Might, Judas Bloodspire - Mordhiem
    Chaos Night Lords - BFG/40k
    Bretonnian, Vampire Counts - WHFB
    M.Ind UNA - AT-43

    Re: First AT-43 campaign

Talking it over with other players in regaurds to objective missions in the campaign just "for now" I think we should not use them.
Not everyone has a rule book for the missions, We are all still learning the rules for the games, and we don't know if all the missions are equile for each attackers and definders. (just a reminder when the rule book came out there was only 2 armys UNA and Therians.)
But I'm not ruling them out yet.  Lets try to play test them to see how they are, and when everyone knows the rules to the game I would like to start useing them too.

Tim M's Karmans could not take on the UNA under the command of Tim B failing to take over the system.
Tim B's UNA went after the therians of warrens and found them to much to take over there system.

    Re: First AT-43 campaign

round 3 was going to be

    #1)Aaron vs. James
    #2)Sean vs. Tim M.
#3)Tim B vs. Not yet determined....

But as far as I know is that james might not be playing in the campaign as of yet.  I keep hereing from everyone that he is but never seen him or talk to him yet.
And from what I was told is that Tim B does not talk to anyone but nephi and does not come to the fourms.  so that leaves his attack out unless he tells us whats happening.
Warren said he would take over Tim B attacking spot and play nephi,  but i don't under stand on how this well work if Tim B can't make up any games then Aaron has no one to play.

I think we should just start the round 3 over next saturday, and hope everyone would show up (but for sean as he is going to see his family)
If you can't make it pease lmk, and if you could make up the games in the week lmk too.

Please keep me informed and sorry for and troubles.

    Re: First AT-43 campaign

I am not sure I am going to be able to keep up the pace of this campaign. 8 games a month is about double what I can do for now. I thought when we were starting up that we would be a couple of times a month and that has morphed into every Saturday, which i am afraid I cannot commit to.

My work schedule is ape right now and I am also commited to the Warhammer campaign, which is 4 games a month. I would love to play some games, but I can't play for 4 to 6 hours every Saturday. I can be a spoiler for people or play pick up games for those that can't make it some weeks perhaps.

That and my wife apparently has me pencilled in for some time with her and the kids. I guess meeting these kids would be a good thing to do sometime. Then comes the DNA testing.

Anyway, sorry if you guys are disappointed, and I would still love to play some games, I just need to slow it up a spot.

    Re: First AT-43 campaign

Hey there. This is Tim B. I seem to have missed that we were doing a round last week. For now, I can only make every second week. I should be able to make it tomorrow for 1. I'll start checking the forums once in a while to see if there's any updates.

    Re: First AT-43 campaign

Ok, every second Saturday is better for me. Sorry I couldn't make it out last Saturday, but this month is a bad month for me. I have a lot on my plate and won't be available for the next couple of weeks either. But by the end of the month things should let up a bit. I can drop off some UNA for Tim, just need a list.
