    Blackjack:

Yea everyone plays diffrently. When I play a watered down lists they don't make me happy because they make no sense, why would anyone field a list that was not coherant and effective? When I lose a few games with a watered down list my instinct is not to improve my play but to improve the list. A tweak her and a tweak there and before you know it im playing a power list again....

GW makes the only games I know where doing your best is considered poor sportsmanship.

My feeling is it's a matter of how you rate your success.  I personally very much enjoy owning a huge fluffy Orcish horde, and I enjoy playing with it.  I just plain have more fun when using that goofy-arsed army, win or lose, than when I min/max the list for effectiveness.  So I measure my success relative to the opinion of the prevailing community of experienced gamers on how well such an army would do.  The first 12+ games with that army my only goal was not to get flank charged.  I didn't win more than 50% of those games, but I got a lot better with the army and people rarely get flank charges on my Orcs before the end game now.

It's like drag racing.  If you go too fast, you lose!  The goal is to go as fast as you can without breaking your class.  Some people are only interested in Top Fuel racing, and that's fine.  Me, I really love driving street stock Corvettes.  I measure my success against a Top Fuel racer compared to the expected/average performance of other stock Corvettes.

    Make any sense? =)

It does but then Warhammer has no classes. I could get behind being competitive within a class if there was such a thing.

Oh thank you for those inspiring words of encouragement TomStick out tongue [:P]

Yup, it's sad but true.....luck? what is this thing you speak of? I am the ultimate definition of murphy when it comes to gaming...in fact i get so excited when i'm actually winning that i tend to miss steps and get plowed within the last turn or so....but yes i am the undisputed master of the 2turn massacreBig Smile [:D]

I am currently hashing out a couple ideas for a brand new type of cheese but not with the beasties....my poor goat boys are totally lactose intolerant and have gotten their hineys spanked so often that they whimper more then bleat these days....not thinking they are going to see much action until a new army book comes out.

That being said......I will be in again but probly not till september....finals next week and then some desperately needed time with the family.....have a great end to summer!

Undisputed master of the 2nd turn massacre...wait a min...is this a good thing?

1000 appologies ferrnis. Things went a bit late at the warroom. Which, as it turns out, is not closing after all.
