40k 2man tournament Format:
*Teams are made up of 2 players. Please form the teams in advance of the tournament.
*If you want to play but have no partner, please let Tom @ RedClaw know. He may be able to get you in touch with someone.
*Each player fields 500 points of troops. Not a point over.
*There is no sharing of points, therefore if you have 460 points and have 40 left over, you cannot give your partner your left-over points. So Use them yourself!
*Just remember that at 500 points everyone will be in the same boat as you!
*Please bring your own copy of your army book, rules, dice, templates, measuring tapes and last but certainly not least, bring A PAIR!
*A sign up list will be available @ RedClaw as of Friday, July 11, 2008. The tournament will begin Saturday, August 2nd, 2008 1:30pm
Force and Army creation Rules
FORCE is used to describe the units under one player’s control.
ARMY is used to describe the combined forces of the two players
Each player is paired with their team mate, and each will bring a force of 500pts. The team’s army therefore will total no more than 1000pts combined. The 1000pts army as a whole must conform to the restrictions of the standard force organization chart. An army cannot include a second Elite, Fast Attack or Heavy Support choice until it includes one of each of these unit types. i.e. In this Warhammer 40,000 Doubles Tournament an army of 1000pts must contain 1 Elite, 1 Fast Attack and 1 Heavy Support choice before you can include a second Elite, Fast Attack or Heavy Support.
• The same applies for a third Elite, Fast Attack or Heavy Support choice, the 1000pts army must
contain 2 Fast attack, 2 Elite and 2 Heavy Support before a third Elite, Fast Attack or Heavy Support choice can be included.
Space
The rosters must include all of the models in your Force, their points value and the points value of any upgrades, and must specify which models are carrying any extra equipment or special items. Please note we would ask you to specify what slot your troop choice fills (eg. Unit A represents a fast attack choice)
