    Re: Daemons FAQ

Ok I'm not going to memorize or even read the entire FAQ so all you demon players out there, it mighht be a good idea to PRINT IT OUT AND BRING IT WITH YOU along with your army book.
That just prevents people from remembering the rules differnetly and head off any potential dissagreements.
    Thanks.

    Re: Daemons FAQ

I think it would be quicker if Tom just made a store copy of the faq.

    Re: Daemons FAQ

Q: Can a Daemon with Master of Sorcery choose to use the Lore of Tzeentch and, if so, does is know all the spells from that lore? Or must it choose one of the Lores from the Warhammer Rulebook?

A: Lores from the Warhammer Rulebook only - Tzeentch does not allow his lesser minions full knowledge of his own sacred Lore.

    It's like I thought.

    Re: Daemons FAQ

There was nothing vague about the wording of that rule, it was just wishful thinking from the Daemon players =).

And seriously, as if Flickering Flames weren't already absurdly good.  Now it negates regen too!  weee  Good thing they didn't underprice that Drakenhof Banner....

On the upside, Icons are magic items!  woohoo for the like, 2 armies that benefits =)

    Re: Daemons FAQ

Q - Does the Great Standard of Sundering give a -2 penalty to Nehekharan Incatations or Ogre Gut magic

A - No as they are not spell lores in the conventional manner

Does that apply to Vampires Balefire as well? Or is it that the item or whatever specifically says lores and the other items target casters? For things that give penalties to diff level.

    I think I understand.

    Re: Daemons FAQ

Balefire is a straight mod on the dice roll.  Works on any magic that involves rolling dice.

It isn't that TK and Ogres don't make casting rolls.  It's that the standard requires you to 'choose a specific lore of magic to sunder.'  Since their spells aren't in a lore, there's nothing for the Daemons to choose.  Their rolls are still "casting rolls".

    Re: Daemons FAQ

actually TK don't roll for casting, their spells automatically go off, all the roll is for is to give the opponent a target number that they have to roll against.  so double 1s or 6s means nothing for them.
