    July's Commentaries

Welcome Sports Fans to Lothren Arena!  July's games got started a little early today with the match up between your favorite Chaos Dwarf team Da'Bulls and those hard to keep down Orcs Grog's Grunts.

The orcs spent their inducement money recruiting one of Blood Bowl's most recognized players - Varag Ghoul-Chewer as well as a keg of Bloodweiser and a Babe to serve it.  Da'Bulls were lucky enough to have the services of a fanatic Fan for the first half.

The two teams headed out onto the pitch in the pouring rain, expecting a bloody battle.  Both teams prepared to do what ever it took to win this match.

The match started with the Grunts kicking the ball and Da'Bulls kicking the Grunts.  The first minutes of the game saw the Grunts down two players and Da'Bulls in great position.  Da'Bulls took control of the first half with Alejandro Almaya - the fastest hobgoblin in the league - running along the goal line until just before the buzzer.

The Grunts saw much the same from Da'Bulls in the second half, with Da'Bulls scoring again and then Platero the clawed Dwarf killing Itchy, the Grunt's best player (may he rest in peace).

The game ended 2-0 for Da'Bulls and a casualty score of 4-1 also for Da'Bulls.

    Re: July's Commentaries

Hey out there Sport Fanatic's! Today's Match up saw the Rebooters and Maniac All-Stars duking it out on the Holy Gridiron.

As you may know these 2 teams are tied for third place with nearly identical records. The Rebooters are however more Renowned for scoreing than pummeling opponents into the ground and the Maniac's...Well last season they were league leaders for inflicting Casulties but this season the team as well as Star Minotaur Hrunwaiphrum have been quite lacking in that department.

Even tho these teams have similar records the Rebooters were heavy underdogs going into this match and spent a whopping 520k Crowns in evening the odds.

The game started with nice weather and the Rebooters winning the toss elected to recieve. The Maniac's took this oppurtunity to swap out the regular ball for a Spikey Special but the tactic didn't deter the Rebooters from running in a quick score in the Second turn, Tho down 1-0 quickly the Maniac's took heart that #9 Tufforp with his first Block of the game put a man out for the rebooters.

The Maniac's now with possession marched down the feild to tie the game and leaving a pile of broken bodies in their wake before the whistle ending the second half.

The Second half started well for the Maniac's as well Putting up another score and several more dents in the rebooters line. The Rebooters will be looking to replace a pair of linemen before next game. Everything looked good for the Maniac's with time running out and the rebooters with only 5 fit players left. But overzealousness Cost the Maniac's the win. Blitzing with bare seconds on the clock half the team raced to corral the ball near the sidelines ultimately knocking it out of bounds and into Rebooter hands. Taking advantage of streatched Maniac lines The Booters sqeaked in a TD at the wire to tie the game at 2 which is how the game ended.

On a happeir note Maniac fans will rejoice in the improved play of Hrunwaiphrum who inflicted 2 Cas this game and the emergence of Tufforp who put 3 Booters out of action. Final body count ended 8-1 in favor of the Maniac's ending 2 Careers unless the Undertakers are looking for a few new skellies.
