Red Claw’s Forlorn Hope Tournament Players Pack

The Forlorn Hope tournament is aimed towards casual play. There will be 16 slots available for these 3 games, 1 day event. Scores will be submitted to the ITC using the Best Coast Pairings app.

REGISTRATION

The event will cost $25 per person. This fee will cover the day of gaming and prizes.
To register you can either:
Sign up and pay in person at the store, or
Sign up on our webpage in the events calendar.
Please include your Full Name, Best Coast Pairings email and the faction you will be playing. If you do not have a Best Coast Pairings account, you will need to get one. You can do this at https://web.bestcoastpairings.com/login.php?redirect=index.php
Payment will be required to secure your spot as space is limited.

KILL TEAM CONSTRUCTION
To participate, each player requires a roster of up to 20 OPERATIVES, plus 3 BARRICADES.
(You are not required to have 20 models to play in the event just the models you want from your roster.)
-Create a Matched Play Roster as described on Page 90 of the Kill Team Core Book.
All official Games Workshops FAQs and sourcebooks will be in effect.
The rules cut-off date for this event will be July 27th, 2024. No rules released after this date will be in effect at this event.
Conversions and custom models are acceptable for this event. Proxied models are not. If in doubt, please contact us before the event.

PAINTING REQUIREMENTS
There are no painting requirements for this tournament.
Given this, please note victory points for having a painted roster will not be in effect for this tournament - Accordingly players can score a maximum of 18 points in a mission.
Conversions and 3rd party miniatures are accepted as long as they can be matched to the appropriate entry on the roster.
Wherever possible please ensure models are based in line with their current boxed kit.

GUIDELINES & TERRAIN FORMAT
Terrain will be divided into different Killzones including, OCTARIUS, CHALNATH, INTO THE DARK, BHETA DECIMA and Custom Layouts based on KILLZONE REGISTER rules.
Missions will be from the KILLTEAM APPROVED OPS

9:30 to 11:30 AM Round #1
11:30 to 12:30 PM Lunch
12:30 to 2:30 PM Round #2
2:30 to 2:45 PM Break
2:45 to 4:45 PM Round #3
Missions will be provided day of depending on Killzone.
REFRESHMENTS
Snacks and drinks available for purchase at store.
There are several restaurants within walking distance of the store.

PRIZING
Prizes will be awarded after round 3 has finished as follows:
Best Generals: The Players with the top 3 wins/highest tournament points
These Players will receive Killteam coins and $30 store credit.
Best Presentation: The player that scores the highest on the Red Claw Painting rubric.
Any players that wish to have their army painting judged should leave them set up on a table during lunch. You are Required to have the minimum number of operatives for your Killteam painted not your full roster.
Will win $40 store credit
Favorite Opponent: The Player with the most favorite opponent votes. Will win $50 store credit
After the 3rd round, players will nominate one of their opponents as their favorite opponent of the event.
